Nivedita Narain

Nivedita Narain joined PRADAN in 1987. She has a PhD in management from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, a Masters in rural management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand and a Masters in Development Policy from Cornell University. Having established India’s first SHGs, she has worked in the area of women and gender, livelihoods, organisation development and human resources management and research. She has led PRADAN’s MPhil in Development Practice with Ambedkar University and currently plays a leadership role in research and advocacy. She is an Adjunct Faculty at the Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga in Australia. She has been an O’Brien Fellow at McGill University, Canada; an Atlantic Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics, UK; an Erasmus Mundus Fellow at Gottingen University, Germany; and a Senior Fellow at Ambedkar University Delhi. She serves on the boards of non-profits and scholar programmes.
