With the whole weight of administrative and health machinery relying upon them to lead the fight against COVID19 in the innermost pockets, the ASHAs assigned in each village often become vulnerable without adequate protective gears. They are fighting against the unseen enemy on more unequal terms than others. Because they are stepping out and reaching out to each and every household, every single day. Needless to say, they are more susceptible to the infection and the whole system would collapse if these last-mile health workers do not remain healthy.
Bhoura team of Pradan has focused on equipping these front line functionaries with masks and sanitizers, and through them, equipping those engaged in essential supplies. By collaborating with SDM office, Bhoura team members actively engaged in reaching out to these foot soldiers to strengthen the fight against COVID19.
