Budget 2024 Expectations, Income Tax for Salaried Class: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget in less than two weeks on February 1 at 11 am in the Parliament. This will be the interim budget ahead of the General Elections scheduled to take place between April and May. After the formation of the new government, full budget will be presented by the new government. Meanwhile, salaried class is eyeing hike in section 80C and basic exemption limit. The current limit under 80C is Rs 1.5 lakh. Budget 2024 expectations also includes raising limit for Senior Citizens Saving Scheme from Rs 30 lakh and higher income tax rebates.
