In 2023-24, a comprehensive research study was conducted in Jharkhand and West Bengal involving approximately 2800 farmers from each state, aimed at documenting their experiences and perceived benefits associated with adopting regenerative farming practices as described above. Ecological and health benefits emerged as significant motivators for practising RA whereas lack of easy and timely availability of bio-input came as one of the struggle areas.
This report can be helpful for those who want to facilitate and scale up adoption of regenerative agriculture practices by the small and marginal farmers. This will also help in formulating strategies around the factors which act as hindering factors.
