Ravishankar Manickam

Ravi joined the World Vegetable Center in June 2008 and is currently a scientist at the Vegetable Grafting Headquarters in Taiwan. His current work focuses on developing rootstocks with resistance/tolerance to major biotic and abiotic production constraints in vegetables. Initially, he worked in South Asia (2008-2017) and managed many livelihood projects in central India. He promoted vegetable production through adaptive research and capacity building of local partners. Prior to joining the Center, he worked as Assistant Professor in Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology in Rajasthan, India on the “All India Coordinated Research Project on Plant Parasitic Nematodes with Integrated Approach for their Control”.
