Ten years, 62 villages, 1,060 acres. 1,32,000 trees planted!!

Leveraging Spl. SGSY and MGNREGA all those saplings were planted that led to a substantial transformation of the surroundings. Not only it opened new windows of opportunity for the local farmers of Torpa, Erki and Khunti blocks, but these were significant efforts to mitigate the ill-effects of climate change.

Last week as the people celebrated “World Environment Day”, journalists of Hindustan newspaper from Ranchi, covered this formidable change that our colleagues have been able to facilitate in Jharkhand.
